Volunteers looking for their next opportunity
Create one profile and organisations come to you. Most roles here are short-term — a single day, a weekend or a few weeks — so you can gain experience in an area, build skills and strengthen your CV.
Match a Volunteer is built for short-term volunteering — a single day, a weekend, an evening or a few weeks. Longer arrangements are possible, but they are agreed directly between the volunteer and the organisation.
How it works
Step 1
Add your profile
Tell us your skills, the areas you want to upskill in, your availability and the languages you speak.
Step 2
Organisations get in touch
They search and filter listed profiles, then send an enquiry through in-app messages.
Step 3
Turn it into CV experience
After you complete a role, use what you contributed and learned as experience for your next opportunity.
What organisations see on your profile
Availability, including short-term
Mark yourself available for single-day events, weekends or longer arrangements — and filter to short-term only if that suits you.
Skills, learning goals and languages
Languages you speak are shown to organisations, which helps them match you to the right role.
Your contact details stay private
Enquiries arrive in-app. Your email address and phone number are never shown to organisations.
Optional CV for organisations
You can upload a CV so organisations can see your experience. Only add details you are happy for them to read.
Before you say yes
Ask the organisation about the role, supervision and safety before you commit. We do not carry out DBS checks or vet organisations.
Match a Volunteer simply links volunteers and organisations — we don't carry out DBS or background checks. It is the responsibility of the organisations to do all the necessary checks, vetting and safeguarding for their volunteers and events.
