Your business's responsibilities
Businesses register using the organisation profile and have the same responsibilities for checks, vetting, safeguarding and safety. Make sure the role complies with employment law, including any minimum-wage obligations; calling a role volunteering does not remove those obligations.
Match a Volunteer simply links volunteers and organisations — we don't carry out DBS or background checks. It is the responsibility of the organisations to do all the necessary checks, vetting and safeguarding for their volunteers and events.
